World
Famous San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo cares for more than 4,000 individual
animals representing 800 different species. Its collection of animals,
as well as its plant collection of over 6,500 species, is acknowledged
as one of the finest in the entire world. Among these animals are
some of the rarest wildlife in the world, including koalas and giant
pandas.
Take a guided tour on one of the zoo's famous double-decked buses.
It's one of the best ways to see a lot of the Zoo, and it’s
also a way to view the Zoo from a different perspective. For first-time
visitors, a bus tour will help acquaint you with all there is to
see so you can return to your favorite spots later.
Deluxe admission includes Zoo admission, with unlimited use of Guided
Bus Tour, Express Bus, and Skyfari Aerial Tram. Parking at the Zoo
is free. The San Diego Zoo is open daily (including holidays) from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (grounds close at 6 p.m.) now thru June 24.

New
Monkey Trails at the San Diego Zoo
Just finished this Spring, the new Monkey Trails is one of the largest
habitat projects at the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Visitors can walk
through Asian and African forests with some of the world’s most
threatened wildlife, including mandrills, Africa’s largest,
most colorful monkeys. Keep you're eye out for Asia’s beautiful
and elusive clouded leopard and the extremely rare pygmy hippo. This
multi-level, naturalistic habitat spans three acres and transforms
the center of the zoo into a monkey-filled jungle life.
